Blisters, chafing, heat, exhaustion… they’re all part of the adventure. I’ve learned to expect them.

The bigger battle has always been my mind.

As I prepare for my next adventure, I found myself reflecting on what the last one was trying to teach me. I put those thoughts into words in a letter to my past, current, and future self.

The Ottawa Valley Trail Fastest Known Time: The Many Gifts of A Running Community

A story of a running challenge that was an example of what a running community is all about. People, most of whom didn’t know each other just a few years ago, giving and receiving generous gifts. Whether the challenge is running for a few minutes, running many hours or something more personal, this community is full of the gifts that help us meet those challenges.
