Getting Started
We’re thrilled to kick off our Learn (or Return) to Run Clinic! Now in its 5th year, this program is designed for anyone looking to build or rebuild their running foundation. Whether you’re a beginner or returning after time off, this clinic offers structured training, expert coaching, and the camaraderie of a supportive group to help you achieve your goals.
The clinic is timed to finish around the St. Lawrence Marathon which offers 5 km and 10 km.
What to Expect
Our clinic meets every Wednesday evening for a training run and a short lesson on a running-related topic, such as shoes, pace, or form. We attract various participants with different running experiences, goals, and commitments. To ensure everyone’s success, we aim to provide flexible, personalized support tailored to your fitness level and lifestyle.
Our friendly and approachable coaches and run leads are committed to helping you achieve your goals. If you have questions or need adjustments, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Getting Started
Date, Time & Location
- Wednesday Evening @ 5:00 PM (Sessions run approximately 45 minutes)
- FromJanuary 28 to April 22, 2026 (12 weeks) No session during March Break (March 11, 2026)
- Location:Township of Russell Sports Dome
Each session will begin with a 10–15 minute check-in and discussion on a running-related topic.
What Do You Need
- Running Gear:
- A pair of sneakers (don’t stress about the type).
- A watch or timing device (your phone works perfectly).
- Comfortable clothing.
- Water bottle
- A Great Attitude: Bring your energy and a desire to improve your health!
